🤝 Gratitude Through Challenging Times

Firstly, I would like to say a massive thank you to the HRC family. Through a global pandemic, lockdowns, and cancelled leagues and fixtures, the club stood firmly by me and actively helped develop my role as Head Coach for the next two years.

I will always remember the warmth, openness, and trust that the Board demonstrated throughout these difficult periods. As a result, I cannot wait to get stuck into the next two years and give everything for this club!

🦁 Expanding Squads & Community Impact

The strides we have made across all departments are undeniable:

• Pioneering Youth Pathway: We have our very first batch of U18s representing the club at a national Bundesliga level, alongside thriving teams in every single age group from U6 up to U18.
• Flourishing Senior & Social Rugby: From our Lionesses (Women’s XV) and Old Boys to fielding more Löwen senior teams than ever before in HRC history.
• Grassroots Community Engagement: We are actively expanding our school rugby programs, introducing rugby’s core values to hundreds of schoolchildren across Hamburg.

Over the next two years, I will have the immense privilege to watch our U18s graduate into senior Löwen, younger players progress into the Akademie – and, if the rumours are true, a fair few 1st XV stalwarts making their well-earned transition to the Old Boys!

To achieve our full ambitions, we need every single member pulling in the same direction:

“We must unite and come together in order to maximise the potential we all have. Youth, Women’s, Old Boys, Löwen, Supporters, Volunteers – everyone. If we do this together, we will fly as a club and grow something truly special.”
